Blonde Redhead
I feel like it's been forever since we last heard from Blonde Redhead, and checking their discography online, it's been 9 years. In the grand scheme of pop music, that's a lifetime. But this fall brings us new album "Sit Down for Dinner" on Section1 Records. Pre-order it here and listen to first single "Snowman" below.
Daily Jam - Gila
It's the last day of the month. Here's an old Beach House song. Listen to "Gila" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Red Eye Special
I like jazz, but have to admit that i am very much a novice when it comes to the appreciation there of. I'll see people divide it up into a thousand different subgenres (kinda like metal), and i don't understand any of that. But i still like it. So here's a piece from pianist Hal Galper in whatever subgenre of the art it might be. Listen to "Red Eye Special" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Tomorrow Your Heart
Here's some '60s girl psych pop from Detroit band Honey Ltd. The group were proteges of Lee Hazlewood and had been all but forgotten until a decade ago when their complete discography was compiled and reissued along with a ton of other Hazlewood stuff. Check out "Tomorrow Your Heart" below, our Daily Jam.

Prairiewolf
Been going a hundred miles an hour for what feels like an eternity. Let's slow it down some with the far out sounds of Colorado's Prairiewolf. The band makes a trippy mix of kosmische psychedelia and new age electronica that feels like vast soundscapes from other worlds. Check out "Cogs" below and download the new self-titled album here from Centripetal Force.
Daily Jam - No-One in the World
My oldest son turned 10 years old today. Time makes absolutely no sense. Here's a track from one of my favorite albums from the '90s, Locust's "Morning Light." Dig on that Karen Carpenter sample and listen to "No-One in the World" below, our Daily Jam.

Junip + Sharon Van Etten
Here's a new track from Jose Gonzalez's Junip project, this time around featuring a vocal assist from Sharon Van Etten. Listen to "Line of Fire" below and download the song here from Mute.
Daily Jam - Slip Into Something More Comfortable
Remember those old Ministry of Sound compilations from the late '90s and early '00s? Chilled out vibes for all. Anyway, dig on the summery sounds of Kinobe's "Slip Into Something More Comfortable" below, our Daily Jam.

Dorotheo
Exploring for new music last night and came across the haunting sounds of Mexican ban Dorotheo. New album "Nada Escrito" is an eerie and trippy mix of kosmische psychedelia, krautrock, and more, and is most definitely my shit. Check out "Las Nubes" below, an airy and exotic number that sounds like it would play beachside at the edge of the universe, and pre-order the new LP here from Half Shell Records.
The Gaslamp Killer Meets The Heliocentrics
LA producer The Gaslamp Killer and UK library funk band The Heliocentrics have joined forces for new album "LEGNA." The record is a cool mix of cinematic funk, jazz, psychedelia, and instrumental hip-hop. It rules. Check out the title track below and get the LP here from CUSS Records.
Daily Jam - Inflatable
Who would have guessed i'd be posting a song by Bush today. I certainly wouldn't have, except that i actually kind of dig a couple of their songs...and not just in a nostalgia for the '90s way. "Inflatable" came out when the band had already left their glory days behind them, and didn't really make much of a stir anywhere. But it's a pretty and melancholy melody that hooked into me after seeing the video some 20+ years ago and never let go. Check it out below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Twin Ghosts
My music collection is quite large. At any moment, it seems the shelves and stacks of LP's, CD's, and cassettes might overtake us all. And through the years, i've gotten rid of tons of stuff too, albums that for whatever reason just didn't make the cut at the time. Sometimes i regret what i've purged though. Thinking that now about the weird 2007 album "The Midnight Room" by Italian psychedelic and experimental band Jennifer Gentle. Regret along with me as we listen to "Twin Ghosts," our Daily Jam.

Cindy Wilson
I had no idea that Cindy Wilson of The B-52's was still making music, but here she is with new song "Midnight," a pulsing, club-ready synth pop new wave jam. The upcoming "Realms" album is out later this summer on Kill Rock Stars. Check the track out below and pre-order the LP here.
Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan
Here's some wonderful analog synth meditations from the UK's Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan. "Busway" sounds like looking at the Earth from a great height, watching the people and machines move around like so many workable parts. New album "The Nation's Most Central Location" is out now. Get the download here from Castles in Space. The vinyl sold out almost instantly. And in the meantime, listen to the track below.
MIZMOR
Portland artist MIZMOR has a new album of blackened doom metal heading our way with the upcoming "Prosaic." Check out the blistering, earthy "No Place to Arrive" below and pre-order the album here from Profound Lore.
King Hannah Covers Madonna
Liverpool shoegaze-tinged band King Hannah just dropped a dark and moody cover of Madonna's "Like A Prayer," and it's eerie as heck. Check out the extended version below and download it here from City Slang.
Daily Jam - Skinned
This weekend i'm making my family go with me to Kingsland, Texas to visit the "Texas Chain Saw Massacre" house, which these days is a restaurant called Hooper's. Originally located outside of Round Rock, Texas, the house was cut into six pieces, moved to its current location in 1998, and fully restored. I'm stoked to check it out. In the meantime, here's a Blind Melon song about Leatherface influence Ed Gein. Listen to "Skinned" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - (I Wanna Be A) Pop Star
Here's an old track from the wonderfully irreverent lo-fi (anti?) folk artist Wally Pleasant. Listen to "(I Wanna Be A) Pop Star" below, our Daily Jam.

Dot Allison
Dot Allison has been making music for a couple of decades now, but i first heard her as a guest vocalist on Mark Peters' "Red Sunset Dreams" album last year. There's a gentle and ethereal quality to her voice that both soothes and hypnotizes. Anyway, here new "Consciousology" LP is out this summer. Pre-order it here and listen to "Unchanged" below.
Daily Jam - The Kiss
Judee Sill was a fold singer/songwriter in the '70s. She recorded and released two albums before her death by overdose in 1979. Her most notable song is probably "The Kiss" from 1973's "Heart Food" LP. Let's listen to it. Check it out below, our Daily Jam.

Mandy, Indiana
I posted about Manchester band Mandy, Indiana back in March when i was hoping to catch them during SXSW. Unfortunately that didn't pan out, which is all the more upsetting now that their "I've Seen a Way" LP is out. It's the kind of experimental noise that burrows its way into your skull and stays there, creating a strange and foreign soundscape to wander around in for a while. Check out the album closing "Sensitivity Training" below and get the record here from Fire Talk.
bar italia
Here's some kinda grooving new alt-rock from UK band bar italia. I can hear so many influences in the moody, slinky sounds of "changer," that i don't even know where to begin, but it's good, and i love it. Check the track out below and get the band's new "Tracey Denim" LP here from Matador.
Daily Jam - Voices
Dream Theater. I cannot help but love this goofy, proggy shit. 30 years ago, it was so antithetical to everything going on in music and pop culture, and yet it persists. Here's "Voices," our Daily Jam.

Estrella del Sol
We just heard from Estrella del Sol the other day with her appearance on the upcoming new album by Austin psych rock band Holy Wave, but she's probably better known as part of the Mexican shoegaze band Mint Field. Anyway, this summer sees the release of her solo album "Figura de Cristal." Check out the positively dreamy title track below and pre-order the record here from Felte.
Lula Asplund and Kyle Bates
Just gonna sit here and eat my raisin bran to the droning sounds of Lula Asplund and Kyle Bates of Drowse. The duo just released "A Matinee," two sparse and sprawling tracks of transcendent, meditative hum. Check out "Brocken Spectre" below and get the 12" record here from Whited Sepulchre Records.
Daily Jam - You Will Miss Me When I Burn
I'm late to the game on this one, but just recently started listening to the Soulsavers. Of late, the band has been making music with Depeche Mode's Dave Gahan, but their 2009 album "Broken" is a mix of alt-rock, gospel, and folk that features folks like Mike Patton and Mark Lanegan. It's great. Listen to the Lanegan sung, Will Oldham penned piano ballad "You Will Miss Me When I Burn" below, our Daily Jam.

Blur
I was just working yesterday, minding my own business, when i noticed via Twitter that a new record from Blur is on the horizon this summer. This is most welcome news. "The Ballad of Darren" is their first reunion record since their last reunion record back in 2015. Check out "The Narcissist" below and pre-order the LP here on Parlophone from the band.
Daily Jam - Down Colorful Hill
It's Friday. And i don't know about the rest of you, but i'm exhausted. Here's Red House Painters with "Down Colorful Hill," our Daily Jam.

Young Moon
New Zealand by way of San Francisco artist Young Moon makes a sweet and melancholy kind of baroque pop with dreamy synths and floating melodies. New album "Triggered by Sunsets" drops next month. Get it here from Orindal Records and listen to "Deep Ecology" below.
Tombstones in Their Eyes
There's that perfect pitch of noise that makes my ears sing. That combination of reverb, distortion, and melody that sounds like something i've always listened to. Always been listening to. A heavenly din. Those are the kind of vibes i'm getting from "We Are Gold," a wonderful new track from LA band Tombstones in Their Eyes from their latest LP, "Sea of Sorrow," a hazy and murky mix of shoegaze, grunge, and psych rock. Check it out below and grab the album here from Kitten Robot Records.
Mapache
LA band Mapache are set to follow up last year's brilliant "Roscoe's Dream" album with the upcoming "Swinging Stars" LP this summer. The band's perfect blend of psych rock, folk, country, and Americana is just the thing for the summertime blues. Check out "People Please" below and pre-order the album here from Innovative Leisure.
Daily Jam - Still Care About You
Here's a little '60s psych pop from the short lived project, Daughters of Albion. Listen to "Still Care About You" below, our Daily Jam.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard
They never rest. They never ever rest. Next month sees the latest from Australian psych rock weirdos King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, the kind of ridiculously titled "PetroDragonic Apocalypse; or, Dawn of Eternal Night: An Annihilation of Planet Earth and the Beginning of Merciless Damnation." And it finds the group back in metal mode, this time around leaning into some stoner vibes, as is the case with first taste "Gila Monster." Check out that crunchy track below and pre-order the download here from the band. Vinyl is already sold out from the band's site, but can probably be found wherever you buy records from.
Daily Jam - The False Husband
Here's a wonderful and moody track from Isobel Campbell and the late, great Mark Lanegan for our Wednesday. Listen to "The False Husband" below, our Daily Jam.

Sofie Royer
Here's some wonderful new pop music from Austrian artist Sofie Royer. "Mio" starts with some melancholy indie folk vibes before morphing into a wistful and hazy synth pop jam. The summer vibes are strong. Check out the video below and download it here from Stones Throw.
Daily Jam - Burning Inside
It's quite the feeling when all the music you grew up with starts to turn 30 and 40 years old. Quite the feeling indeed. Anyway, here's Ministry with the 34-year old "Burning Inside," our Daily Jam.

Misha Panfilov Septet
Here's some new jazz from Estonian multi-instrumentalist and composer Misha Panfilov with the Misha Panfilov Septet. "Gala!" was written, rehearsed, and recorded in whirlwind two days, giving its four tracks a kind of spontaneity and live energy. Check out "Draw Us Here" below and get the record here from the artist.
Daily Jam - Bluster
It's forgotten '90s alt-rock day. Here's a cool track from a band called Salt. Listen to "Bluster" below, our Daily Jam.
