You may not think you need a jazz harpist in your life, but trust me when i say without a hint of irony, you need a jazz harpist in your life. At least that's the case with Dorothy Ashby. Considered one of the most accomplished yet underloved artists to come out of the American jazz scene, i was introduced to her 1970 album "The Rubaiyat of Dorothy Ashby" by chance a couple months ago and was completely blown away.
