There is something so otherworldly yet simultaneously familiar about the sounds of vaporwave. It's an odd little genre that pulls half remembered memories of Muzak in public spaces from the ether and mixes it into a lo-fi stew with bits and pieces of synth, reverb, and more. It's like being in an alien mall, and it's oh so weirdly soothing. Montreal artist KENMORE Classic just released new album "Woolcowave" which throws in some exotica and library music into the mix as well. Grab the cassette
