One of the names i'm seeing all over the place for this year's SXSW festival is Chicago band Friko. The band's new album "Where We've Been, Where We Go from Here," just dropped last month, and it's full of early '00s indie rock vibes, Conor Oberst and Bright Eyes in particular. (Is that where we are in the everything old is new again cycle?) That's not a slight, just an observation. And honestly, it's not a bad spot to draw inspiration from.
