Every so often, we like to take a break from tripped out drone, 80's soundtrack inspired synth jams, and garage rock madness, to venture into murkier territories.  And so, we have Seattle doom merchants Anhedonist.  Sludgy, doom metal at its most triumphant and joyless.  New album "Netherwards" sprawls and moans and wails in despair, a soundtrack for a Gothic cathedral set ablaze.  Listen to "Estrangement" below.  It's a little intoxicating.  Get it from Dark Descent Records.
