Zoinks!

Fri-Sun: ???
Mon: 234 lbs.
Tues: 230 lbs.

We're watching "Fringe." It's great, and i keep wanting to call the Josh Jackson character Pacey. Pacey's having to deal with some fucked up shit too.

Got to ride my bike today, and i felt like i was 10 years old. Let's see, what else? Oh, Tim Tebow got knocked the fuck out on Saturday night. Hallelujah!

Dark Night of The Soul

Thurs: 231 lbs.

Shins are on fire. Had to ice them down with bags of frozen fruit. The dog is mopey and she's been licking her butt for the last 5 minutes. I'm sure she'll try to lick my face later. Today i picked up a copy of Sunny Day Real Estate's "Diary" on vinyl (the reissue) as well as a promo LP of Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse's "Dark Night of The Soul." All kinds of guest vocalists on the bad boy, and there's all kinds of litigation going on between the artists and the label, so who knows if this thing will ever see a proper release. And that's a shame. I mean, David Lynch is involved with the project for God's sake. So let's just all keep our fingers crossed.

Sydney stinks

Tues: 230 lbs.

It's been raining all day, but let up in the afternoon, just in time for the run. Due to the rains and the cold front that blew in, it was maybe 67 or 68 degrees, and felt absolutely awesome outside. Being the dipshit that i am, i took the dog through the park area we usually run through, and there was mud everywhere. We proceeded anyway. She actually did ok, a little mud clinging to her paws, but nothing more...until we got to the end. Sydney zeroed in on the one spot of standing water and rolled around in it. Now she stinks. And my wife should be home in an hour. And i'm going to the record store. See ya.

Just me and the dog

Mon: 232 lbs.

Someday i'm gonna break the 230 mark, and there will be much rejoicing.

So, the wife's out of town for the night, and it's just me and the dog, watching Monday Night Football and wrestling. It's alright, except that i just chugged a bottle of gatorade, and now i feel like i'm gonna throw up. Awesome.

TEXAS!!!!!!!!!!!! NEW ORLEANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sat: 235 lbs.
Sun: 234 lbs.

Texas over Texas Tech 34 -24!
New Orleans over Philly 48 -22!

Shit yeah motherfuckers!

Ok, now that that's out of the way, and i've calmed down, i am hoarse from all the screaming and yelling last night at the game. I had an old lady ask if i was the one using all the foul language (really happened). I said yeah and pissed in her face (didn't really happen). Then i pushed her husband over the railing and kicked a bobble-headed lady in her stupid bobble head (also didn't happen). I then proceeded to storm the field, high-five a cheerleader, and rip the head off of a trainer to drink his blood, the sustenance of life (maybe this happened...i don't really remember...i had a lot to drink yesterday).

And New Orleans put up over 40 points again today. That's for you Dad.

Let's beat the fucking shit out of Texas Tech!

Fri: 235 lbs. (boo)

Taking the day off from work (i'm one of those poor bastards that has to work most Saturdays, therefore missing a lot of college football), and going tailgating, and then to the Texas v. Texas Tech game. The game ended disastrously last year, with that stupid clip of Crabtree shown over and over and over again. So, heading out soon. Fuck you Red Raiders.

A little bit more

Thurs: 233 lbs.

Not exactly where i wanted to be, but i did run a little bit further today than i had been doing, so that's good. Not much else to say. My dog loves the park, and with all the rain, we hadn't been able to take her. She's much happier now.

Wednesday

Tues: 232 lbs.
Wed: 231 lbs.

The run was cut short last night when we encountered a lost blind man. Paige went back to the house to get the car, and we gave him a ride to the other side of town (he was really lost). Nathan, i hope this finds you well.

Picked up a copy of "Invincible" #1 finally, and i've been flying through the series. It's fucking great. Kudos to you Mr. Kirkman.

I'm a bad, bad bear

Thurs - Sun: ???
Mon: 235 lbs.

So, i haven't done shit lately. I decide to go on vacation, and all i do is lie around, eating delicious pizza, bar hamburgers, and fried catfish. Oh, and football season has started, so i'm drinking beer like a college freshman. I will run and work out tomorrow. To thee i swear it.

Oh, and FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where am I? Who is this woman? Why is she dead?

Sun - Tues: ?????
Wed: 235 lbs.

So, i've been in Colorado the last few days for a wedding reception. Getting drunk at high altitudes and marveling at how many Hungarians live in the tiny city of Gunnison. There's a college there apparently.

The best thing i brought back with me are the memories of the best pizza i've ever had (sorry Doug). So, if you're ever in Crested Butte, Colorado, be sure to visit The Secret Stash. And be sure that you try the Notorious F.I.G. Who would have thought that prosciutto, fig, asiago cheese, bleu cheese, and truffle oil would give me a pizza boner, but holy shit it did.

Recent films:
"Red Belt" - David Mamet and Tim Allen involved in the same project? It's still fantastic.

"Conan The Barbarian" - I just had to. I love it.

"Altered States" - I'd been meaning to watch this for the last 15 years. It was pretty good, and it was cool to hear where a sample on Ministry's "Psalm 69" came from.

"Martin" - A Romero flick about a guy who might be a vampire or just bat shit. Awesome. And check out the early Tom Savini work, sans moustache.

Picked up:
Wet Hair - "Dream" and "Glass Fountain": Beautiful noise.

Health - "Get Color": More beautiful noise.

And "The Burglars" soundtrack by Morricone, a 7" by The Big Pink, and "Scott 2" by Scott Walker.

I haven't worked out since last Thursday. I ate hamburgers, and bison burgers, and delicious pizza in Colorado. I've been drinking more (pumpkin ale is back bitches). And i'm going to the San Antonio zoo tomorrow with the wifey-wife. I may be getting fatter, but happiness is the key. So, fuck you. Don't judge me.

...i'll be running again on Friday. So long vacation. Sigh.

Man, i stink

Thurs: 232 lbs.

I know someday, i'm gonna dip below 230, and that day will be marvelous. Speaking of Marvel, they're now owned by The Mouse. That sucks. But, it's not gonna stop me from buying up a bunch of half price comics tonight. If you're into comic books, and you live in the Austin area, go over to Austin Books this Labor Day weekend for their annual killer sale. I'll be there with nerds on. Excelsior!!!!

Bad dog!

Tues: 233 lbs.
Wed: 234 lbs.

Sydney (my dog) tore a hole in my bead spread. I yelled at her and popped her on the behind. She's in the other room pouting now. It's fucking hot, and i have to go run.
