I don't think i'd go so far as to say that Robert Altman's 1980 live-action "Popeye" movie is good necessarily, but it is kind of oddly fascinating in its own way. And part of that probably has to be because of Harry Nilsson's music. And i've always had a soft spot for the song "He Needs Me." Anyway, singer/songwriter Alyssandra Nighswonger released an album of Nilsson cover songs, titled "Nighswonger Sings Nilsson" appropriately enough, back in March, and her version of the tune is just wonderful, like some long lost folk oddity.
