I know it's only January, but i think i may have found my first real contender for my album of the year with the latest release from Japanese shoegaze band STOMP TALK MODSTONE. "Linger in Someone's Memory with a Lurid Glow" is as gorgeous as it is sweeping, an absolutely massive piece of layered sound and reverb that echoes far into space and time.
