Badge Époque Ensemble

Doing that thing where i come across a ton of great music i missed earlier in the year as i read different folks' year-end favorites.  One of those is the September release from Badge Époque Ensemble.  "Clouds of Joy" is wonderful and grooving mix of jazz, psych, funk, soul, prog, and more.  Check out the James Baley assisted "Zodiac" below and get the LP here from Telephone Explosion Records.

Combining elements of jazz, prog, psych, and library funk, Canadian collective Badge Époque Ensemble, which includes members of US Girls' backing band, released a flute heavy album of groove and sway.  Make some room in your ear and head space and listen to the 10+ minute album centerpiece "Undressed in Solitude" featuring James Baley below, then get the self titled record here from the band.
