Daily Jam (October Edition) - Chariots of Pumpkins

Getting closer to Halloween, and so far both of my kids have their costumes picked out.  Our dog does too.  But i haven't a clue what i'm going to be.  Anyhoo, here's John Carpenter and Alan Howarth with some film score music from "Halloween III."  Listen to "Chariots of Pumpkins" below, our Daily Jam.

John Carpenter

John Carpenter continues his late career work as a electronic and synth wave guru.  The upcoming "Anthology II" is another collection of the artist's old work on his films in the '70s and '80s, re-recorded for our collective listening pleasure.  Check out "Chariots of Pumpkins" from "Halloween III" below and pre-order the album here from Sacred Bones.

Daily Jam (October Edition) - Silver Shamrock

Here's the commercial jingle for the evil Silver Shamrock Corporation from "Halloween III: Season of the Witch."  Both of my boys absolutely love it.  Have fun getting it stuck in your head.  Check it out below, our Daily Jam.

Halloween Horror Trailer Week: Halloween III: Season of the Witch

For so many years, Tommy Lee Wallace's "Halloween III: Season of the Witch" was the unwanted, redheaded stepchild of the "Halloween" franchise.  It's only been in the last few years that the film has received the due respect and recognition it deserves, carving out its own rabid fan base.  I like Michael Myers as much as the next guy, but we got totally cheated when "Halloween III" failed to garner any acclaim...or more importantly money.  The series was originally conceived to be a yearly horror anthology series with a new story every film.  How awesome would that have been?  How did a movie about a mass ritual murder of children not set the box office on fire?  Oh what a world we live in.

Watch the trailer below and Happy Halloween!  Be safe out there and remember kids, be in front of your TV sets for the Horrorthon!
