RIP Wes Craven

This one stings.  RIP Wes Craven.  Along with other creative and twisted folks like John Carpenter and Sam Raimi, and Stephen King and Clive Barker, the writer/director/horror icon was one of the main sources that molded me into the little horror fan/freak that i am today.  May he forever haunt our dreams.

The Hills Have Eyes

After last year's excellent reissue of "Last House on the Left," One Way Static Records is at it again, releasing a soundtrack to another classic Wes Craven joint, Don Peake's score to 1977's "The Hills Have Eyes."  The horror soundtrack revival continues!  Hooray!  Listen to a small sampling of the score below.

Last House on the Left

It's pretty damn awesome that reissuing horror movie soundtracks on vinyl has become a thing lately.  And just in time for Halloween, the UK's One Way Static Records releases the soundtrack to Wes Craven's "Last House on the Left," and the 70's country-fried psych folk of actor/musician David Hess (RIP).  Stateside, grab it from Light in the Attic, and listen to "Wait for the Rain" below.
