Somatic Records here in Austin is a pretty cool little label that puts out kinds of synthy, droney, noisy goodies. (Full disclosure: i'm friends with one of the guys who runs the label.) Anyway, celebrating the fact that they've completely sold out of all of their first run cassette releases, the label is offering up some of their offerings for free download for a limited time. Right now, you can snag Xander Harris' new half hour opus "Beautiful Blues," and you should,as it's a sweeping, washing piece of sound, and perfect to cool out to later tonight after fireworks.
