Let's start the week with some old Austin punk from Big Boys. "We Got Soul" leans into ska pretty hard, but it's fun and infectious and a sure cure for the blues. From the EP that gave a late, great music festival it's name, check it out below, our Daily Jam.
When i was in college and for a few years after before it closed down, i used to frequent a bar called the Texas Showdown Saloon. It was a pretty big joint with a decent beer selection, darts and pool, and so on, and was a pretty cool place to hang out. And then i discovered that years before that it had been the legendary night club Raul's, pretty much the birth place of Austin punk. I don't know what the location is now...probably something stupid. Anyway, let's remember what was with the Big Boys' "Fun Fun Fun," our Daily Jam.
