Daily Jam - 3030

It's absolutely insane to me that it's been 25 years since Del Tha Funkee Homosapien and Dan The Automator teamed up for some dystopian future hip-hop with Deltron 3030.  It was kind of a precursor to the first Gorillaz album.  Anyhoo, it's a fun listen.  Dig on the epic, album-opening "3030" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - I'll Never Hold You Back

A few years ago, actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead made a record with producer Dan The Automator called Got A Girl.  And...it turned out that it was pretty good.  Mike Patton popped up on it and everything.  Anyway, here's "I'll Never Hold You Back," our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Anger Management

It's dark and rainy here in Central Texas this morning, setting the mood for some mellow music.  And i guess sensual too, because i'm leaning hard into Lovage's "Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By," the collaborative record made by Dan The Automator, Mike Patton, and Jennifer Charles.  The whole thing is a sexy, throbbing pulse of sound, but my focus right now is on "Anger Management," our Daily Jam.

Got a Girl

Happy New Year (a day late)!  Let's roll into 2015 with something i missed months ago, the sleek, trip-hoppy collaboration between Dan the Automator and actress Mary Elizabeth Winstead called Got a Girl.  The album "I Love You but I Must Drive off this Cliff Now" sounds like a sorta-sequel to Automator's 2001 project Lovage...and thus it's sexy and amazing.  Get it from Bulk Recordings and listen to the Mike Patton assisted "Put Your Head Down" below.

Deltron 3030

Oh, the triumphant return of the sci-fi hip-hop stylings of Del the Funky Homosapien, Dan the Automator, and Kid Koala, or better known as Deltron 3030.  13 years after their debut, the boys are making music again in a vein that sounds like it could have come out 13 years ago.  That's not a bad thing.  Listen to and download new jam "City Rising From the Ashes" below.  Hopefully a new record of nerd-rap is right around the corner.
