I see that OKC band Chat Pile are playing in Austin next month, and that Philly hardcore/noise rock band SOUL GLO are opening.  Think i may have to get myself a ticket.  The former's new album dropped a couple weeks back, and it's a beast.  The latter's new album "Na I'm Gon Grab Allat" is out in January.  It will probably be a beast as well.  Check out "February Theory" below and pre-order the LP here from Epitaph.

Converge and Chelsea Wolfe

Converge and Chelsea Wolfe have teamed together for a new album called "Bloodmoon: I," and they've brought along Wolfe collaborator Ben Chisholm and Mutoid Man's Stephen Brodsky for the mayhem.  The sound of abrasive metal paired with haunting, goth-tinged female vocals just works for me in all the right ways (see last year's Thou and Emma Ruth Rundle collab for proof).  Check out the video for "Blood Moon" below and pre-order the album here from Epitaph.  It rules.
