Fruit Bats

The Fruit Bats have been making lovely, pastoral indie folk rock for the last couple of decades now, and every new release is always a treat.  June brings us new album "The Landfill" featuring the Americana, alt-country-tinged title track.  Check it out below and pre-order the LP here from Merge.

Kolumbo

Daily Jam - Slipping Through the Sensors

One of the things that makes me feel my age is having seen so many music scenes come and go over the last four decades.  Like back in the early and mid '00s when indie rock seemed to dominate movie soundtracks and music festivals.  It's weird to think that that was well over a decade ago, almost two.  And that whatever scene we're currently experiencing will soon be lost to time as well.  Anyway, here's one of my favorite tracks from that bygone era, "Slipping Through the Sensors" by Fruit Bats, our Daily Jam.
