Daily Jam - Seasons (Waiting on You) (BADBADNOTGOOD reinterpretation)
The Future Islands single "Seasons (Waiting on You)" is an all-timer, but i think i might actually dig the BADBADNOTGOOD reinterpretation just a little bit more. Their version keeps Samuel Herring's vocals, but lays them atop a jazzy, soul jam, and it kills. Check it out below, our Daily Jam.

BADBADNOTGOOD with Samuel T. Herring
Ever since Toronto jazz outfit BADBADNOTGOOD offered up a brilliant and inspired remix of Future Islands' "Seasons (Waiting on You)," i've been all in any time the group partners up with Future Islands lead singer Samuel T. Herring. Somehow they make magic. Listen to the one off single "I Don't Know" below, a swooning soulful jam that makes me long for a full length collaborative album from these guys.

BADBADNOTGOOD featuring Sam Herring
Here's another new jam from the upcoming new album "IV" from Toronto jazz trio BADBADNOTGOOD, this time around featuring Future Islands' Sam Herring on vocals. "Time Moves Slow" is a slinky, soulful mix of R&B and funk, a proto-groove jam to get down to. Everything these guys get their hands on is solid gold. Listen below and get the album in July from Innovative Leisure.

BADBADNOTGOOD remix Future Islands
Future Islands' "Seasons (Waiting on You)" has been one of my favorite songs of the year, a wistful and longing synth pop dream. Toronto's proggy, experimental jazz trio BADBADNOTGOOD take that dream and turn it into a sleek and smoky, soul-drenched number, something to eye a pretty thing across a room to, cocktail in hand, intrigue on the horizon. It's awesome. Listen below.

Future Islands
I've never really given Future Islands a fair shake. I don't know why. I listen to a ton of stuff, and sometimes things just slip through the cracks, are catch me at the wrong time, or just don't jump up and punch me in the nuts when that's what i'm looking for. But then i heard the band's "Seasons (Waiting on You)" in the car today while driving back from Houston...and it just worked for me. This morning was emotionally difficult for me and my whole extended family of longtime friends, and for some reason, the vibe on this song just seems to wrap a whole lot of melancholy and celebration into four cathartic pop minutes. It's what i needed this afternoon. Watch the video below and grab "Singles" from 4AD.

The Snails
Future Islands side-project The Snails create damaged indie-pop rock songs for the masses, and they do a pretty damn good job of it too. Listen to "Coconut Boat" from the band's "Worth The Wait" EP on Friends Records, and then demand more music from these Baltimore kids.
