Fawn

Fawn is the poppy electronic project of former Chromatics member Nat Walker and former Glass Candy member Ida No.  The duo just dropped new single "Eyes" a few days ago.  Check it out below, dance around your house, and download it here.

Fawn

Fresh off last year's excellent "Flamboyant NonViolent" LP, Fawn (Ida No and Nat Walker) just released new EP "Earthlights," a collection of stripped down and reworked versions of songs from last year's opus with new titles to boot.  Check out the sing-songy "99 Degrees" below and download the EP here from the duo.

Fawn

Somehow, i missed the debut full-length release from Fawn, the duo of Glass Candy's Ida No and former Chromatics member Nat Walker, last October(!!!!).  Apparently the album, "Flamboyant NonViolent" dropped without any kind of announcement, or at least none that i saw, and then got memory-holed by the Internet.  Only for me to find out about it 11 months later now that it's getting a vinyl release.  And man, it's got all those Glass Candy/Chromatics vibes i've been missing.  Check out the dreamy disco glitter of "Scars on Everything" below and get the record here from the band.

Fawn

Here's another new dreamy and poppy track from Fawn, the new project of former Chromatics member Nat Walker and former(?) Glass Candy member Ida No.  That both of those projects seemed to have reached their conclusions still makes me a little sad, but i'll gladly take new music from all the artists involved however they want to release it.  Check out "Mansions" below.  I'll keep you posted when an album materializes.

Fawn

All the former Chromatics members are moving on with new projects and new music.  It's bittersweet, but i am digging on the new jams.  The latest comes from Nat Walker with her new project Fawn, which notably includes Glass Candy's Ida No in the mix.  Check out the dreamy and melancholy "Graffiti in the Hall" below.  Hopefully there is more to come soon.

After Dark 3

Johnny Jewel and Italians Do It Better are back with another compilation album, "After Dark 3."  These are always great and seem to come in 7 year intervals.  Check out the whole thing below (i'm particularly digging Orion's cover of Vivien Vee's "Higher" right now) and download it here for a dollar.  And keep your eyes on the label for a proper vinyl release in the future.

Glass Candy - Halloween

Originally released five(!) years ago, Glass Candy's "Halloween" was meant to be taste of the group's upcoming new album "Body Work."  Said album is still not out yet, but the duo have reworked the track and provided a new spooky video for the song.  Watch and listen below, but maybe don't hold your breath for the new record anytime soon.

Chromatics - Yes (Love Theme from Lost River)

So, Johnny Jewel and his usual gang of miscreants on Italians Do It Better have supplied the soundtrack to Ryan Gosling's film "Lost River," because of course they have.  Honestly, this was probably set in motion when Gosling starred in "Drive."  Well, the outcome is just lovely.  Listen to and download the Chromatics' tune "Yes (Love Theme from Lost River)" below, featuring an assist from Ida No of Glass Candy and Megan Louise of Desire.

Glass Candy covers Herb Alpert

Amid a sea of unreleased tracks spewing forth from Johnny Jewel's Soundcloud page, an announcement of a new Chromatics record due in February, and rumors of new albums from both Jewel's Symmetry project and Glass Candy, his long running band with Ida No, the duo's cover of jazz-meister Herb Alpert's 1979 jam "Rise" just surfaced yesterday.  And it's fantastic.  Mellow and breezy electronics, a sexy, subdued beat, and oh those horns.  Listen and download below.

Glass Candy - Warm in the Winter

It seems like i post another track from Italians Do It Better's new "After Dark 2" compilation every few weeks, but the sucker has finally come out (digitally at least), and so here's the video for Glass Candy's "Warm in the Winter," the album's opener.

New Glass Candy

Here's another track from Italians Do It Better's upcoming "After Dark 2" compilation, this time around from Glass Candy.  "The Possessed" was unveiled at fashion show in Paris, which makes perfect sense.  Why won't this comp just come out already?  Listen and download below.
