Daily Jam - Sheep

 

Every now and then, i wake up with "Sheep" from Gonjasufi's 2010 album "A Sufi and A Killer" in my head.  That was one of my favorite records of that year, so i guess my brain is trying to tell me it's time for a revisit.  Will do brain.  Will do.  In the meantime, here's "Sheep," our Daily Jam.

Gonjasufi

Just the other day, i was wondering whatever happened to Gonjasufi, the artist behind one of my favorite albums of 2010, and lo and behold, we've got a new album announcement today.  The "Callus" LP comes out next month via Warp, and the first single "Maniac Depressant" is streaming below.  Give it a listen.  It's dark, gothy, and weird.

The Bug

UK producer, electronic musician The Bug (Kevin Martin) is readying his first record in 6 years, "Angels & Devils," which features a whole smattering of guest vocalists, ranging from Liz Harris (Grouper) to Justin K. Broadrick (Jesu/Godflesh) to Death Grips.  Listen to "Save Me" featuring Gonjasufi below and get the record from Ninja Tune in August.  I have a feeling it's going to be a monster.
