Here's another new one from photographer turned recording artist Robert Ashcroft, this time around featuring a vocal assist from Britta Phillips of Luna and Dean and Britta fame.  We've already heard tracks featuring former Chromatics member Ruth Radelet and Black Lips member Zumi Rosow, and now we've got an album announcement to go along with all these wonderful singles.  Pre-order next month's "Echo Still Remains" LP here from Hand Drawn Dracula and listen to the sultry "Where Did You Go" below.

Photographer and artist Robert Ashcroft released a great and dreamy track with former Chromatics member Ruth Radelet earlier this year, and he's now following that one up with the country-tinged "Empty Page" featuring Black Lips member Zumi Rosow.  He's now two for two.  Check it out below and download the single here from Hand Drawn Dracula.

Much like Sonic Youth, i don't think i'm ever going to get completely over the breakup of Chromatics.  All i can do is follow the solo releases and projects that come up over the years.  And the latest comes from photographer and artist Robert Ashcroft who is now tackling dreampop as his next endeavor.  So why not recruit the soft and starry vocals of former Chromatics member Ruth Radelet for his first outing?  "Faded Photograph" scratches that Chromatics itch ever so gently, but it's also a pretty and dreamy track all on its own.  Check out the "Barbarella" vibes of the video below and download the song here from Hand Drawn Dracula.

Bonnie Trash

Bonnie Trash is the project of Canadian-Italian twin sisters Emmalia and Sarafina Bortolon-Vettor.  The duo make dark and brooding, goth-tinged alt-rock, the kind of stuff i would have eaten up as a moody teenager and honestly still do now.  Check out "Shades of You" from their new EP "Hail, Hale!" and download it here from Hand Drawn Dracula.

I first heard Canadian artist Tess Parks a few years back when she made a record with Brian Jonestown Massacre madman Anton Newcombe.  And now she's got a new solo effort coming our way in April, with vinyl to follow in May.  Check out the psych pop and nostalgic vibes of "Happy Birthday Forever" below and pre-order the "And Those Who Were Seen Dancing" record here coming out on Fuzz Club Records and Hand Drawn Dracula.

His Clancyness

Lately i've been combing through lists of bands that i've never heard of that are set to appear at SXSW next month to find some artists to try and check out.  From Bologna, Italy come His Clancyness and sophomore album "Isolation Culture," a collection of strange and quirky art-pop.  Now that these guys are on my radar, i'm definitely going to have to catch them while they're here.  Listen to "Uranium" below and grab the record from Maple Death or Hand Drawn Dracula.
