Daily Jam - Chinatown

About 20 years ago, i dove really deep into the music of avant garde and free jazz composer John Zorn.  The artist has an absolutely massive body of work, so it's easy to get lost in.  Like a lot of folks, i was particular drawn to the eclectic moods of 1990's "Naked City."  Dig on the noir vibes of Zorn's cover of Jerry Goldsmith's theme from "Chinatown" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Contempt

There was a brief period for me about 15 years ago or so when i got really into the extended works of composer and saxophonist John Zorn.  His output is immense and there's so much to get lost in, but one of the albums that i was particularly drawn to was the 1990 self-titled debut of his project Naked City.  The record was a mix of freeform jazz, no wave noise, punk, metal, and more, and it blew my post-collegiate mind.  Anyway, here's "Contempt," our Daily Jam.
