Daily Jam (October Edition) - Zombie (Main Title)

I would be remiss if i didn't play some Italian zombie movie music this Halloween season, so here's the maestro Fabio Frizzi with "Zombie (Main Title)" from Lucio Fulci's "Zombi 2," or "Zombie," or "Zombie Flesh Eaters," or whatever other title the film have.  Check it out below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam (October Edition) - Voci dal Nula (The Beyond Theme)

Whole lot going on for me this weekend.  Too much really, and all i really wanna do is pop some popcorn and watch some horror movies.  I'll just have to listen instead.  Here's Fabio Frizzi with his theme from Lucio Fulci's "The Beyond."  Listen to "Voci dal Nula" below, our Daily Jam.

Buio Mondo

Spanish synth artist Buio Mondo's "Zombie Due," a cover of Frizzi's score came out about a month ago, but it just seems right to start the new year off with it, a foreboding and oozing little bit of sound.  Listen below and grab the split 7" with Nashgul and Thrtcl on the B-side here.

Halloween Horror Trailer Week: The Beyond

I probably use this descriptor too much, but Italian schlock master Lucio Fulci's 1981 film "The Beyond" is absolutely bonkers.  There is so much crammed into its run time, so much gore, so much madness, so much schizophrenic storytelling, that it seems to exist purely as a brain melter.  This movie has everything: a portal to hell, death by spiders, a lynch mob murdering a suspected warlock, a horde of zombies in a hospital, an obligatory Fulci eye gouging scene, gallons and gallons of blood, and a totally bleak ending...just the way it should be.  For best effect, enjoy this movie with a group of like-minded weirdos such as yourself, but go ahead and watch the trailer below now.

A Cat in the Brain

Continuing their ever-impressive string of soundtrack releases, Mondo Tees issued a beautiful edition of Fabio Frizzi's score to the Lucio Fulci gorefest "A Cat in the Brain," featuring awesome cover art from We Buy Your Kids.  Take a listen to "Sequence 1" below and be on the lookout for the vinyl release online in the near future.

The New York Ripper

While we're on the subject of wonderful horror score vinyl releases, the almost unreasonably awesome Death Waltz Records have the Francesco de Masi score for Lucio Fulci's dirty and ugly 1982 giallo film "The New York Ripper."  Listen to the smooth and groovy "New York...one Night" below.
