PILOTPRIEST

Canadian electronic artist PILOTPRIEST dropped a haunting new EP yesterday called "Spring."  Check out the piano-driven somber and quietly devastating title track below and download it here.

R. Missing x Pilotpriest

New York synth pop artist R. Missing released a new EP back in January with two new tracks along with remixes/re-imaginings from Pilotpriest and The Field.  I'm particularly partial to the Pilotpriest version of "Placelessness."  Check it out below and download "Placelessness and Saturnining" here from Sugarcane Recordings.

PILOTPRIEST

Earlier this year, Waxwork Records released the excellent soundtrack for the atmospheric, sci-fi horror flick "Come True," featuring songs from synth pop band Electric Youth and synth wave artist PILOTPRIEST.  The film was written and directed by Anthony Scott Burns, aka PILOTPRIEST, who has now released the complete score as a pay-what-you-want download.  Check out the moody and eerie "The Shadow" below and download the whole thing here.  And if you haven't already, get the vinyl release with the Electric Youth songs here.

Pilotpriest

Fresh off of his excellent debut feature film "Come True," writer/director/musician Anthony Scott Burns, also known as Pilotpriest around these parts, just dropped a new EP of moody electronic music.  Check out "Goodnight Friend" below and download the "Fred" EP here.

Electric Youth and Pilotpriest

On the recommendation of my pal Shawn over at Everyday Is Halloween, i checked out Anthony Scott Burns' film "Come True" last night, and it was great, an atmospheric hour and 45 minutes of neon tint, synthesizers, and nightmare shadow people.  Definitely give it a view when you get a chance.  And the soundtrack by synth artists Electric Youth (whom you may remember from the "Drive" soundtrack) and Pilotpriest (whom you may know if you check out this blog often enough) is an absolute dream.  Check out "Modern Fears" below.  It's been in my head since watching the film last night, and maybe now it can be in yours too.  Then go over here to Waxwork Records to pre-order the vinyl.

Pilotpriest

Today brings us our first new music from Pilotpriest for 2021, and it's some of the most engaging stuff we've gotten from the artist in a while.  "Evinetta" traverses some creepier waters, pulsing obsession and oblivion.  But it's beautiful.  Listen to "WAKE M.E." below and download the album here.

Pilotpriest - Don't Let the Dark Times Get You Down

Here's a new blast of synth from Pilotpriest called "Don't Let the Dark Times Get You Down."  Indeed.  Listen below and get it here.

Pilotpriest - No Choice

Toronto's Pilotpriest makes film soundtrack tinged synth and electronic music that sways and pulses and is equally as cinematic as the visual images that inspire it.  New single "No Choice" wades in some new agey "Pure Moods" waters and channels some serious Vangelis vibes to create a piano driven piece of melancholy.  It's dramatic and heart wrenching and it instantly moved me.  Listen to it below and get it here from the artist.

PILOTPRIEST - Others

Hooray!  We've got a new jam from one of my favorite synth wave artists PILOTPRIEST today, and it's every bit as moody and propulsive as you could ask for.  Listen to "Others" below and download it here.

Pilotpriest - Green

Pilotpriest put out one of my absolute favorite records last year (or more succinctly, Waxwork re-issued it), and they've got a couple of new tracks out now.  Listen to "Green" below for all of your synth wave needs today and then go download it here from the artist.

PILOTPRIEST

Originally self-released digitally in 2012, filmmaker Anthony Scott Burns' music project PILOTPRIEST is getting reissued onto vinyl by the wonderful Waxwork Records, their first foray into original, non-soundtrack music.  "Original Motion Picture Soundtrack," a synth wave album full of all the Carpenter and Tangerine Dream nods you can possibly handle, will be released as a triple LP in the near future by the label.  In the meantime, go here to listen to and download the whole thing, and listen to "Don't Look Now" below.
