Daily Jam - Cannibal
Before The Jesus Lizard, there was Scratch Acid...or at least half of The Jesus Lizard. The Austin noise and punk band was short lived, but tore it up during their tenure in the '80s and spawned one of the all time great punk acts. Check out "Cannibal" below, our Daily Jam.

David Yow
Jesus Lizard and Scratch Acid front man David Yow has released an album of solo material called "Tonight You Look Like a Spider," and it doesn't sound anything like i would have expected. Rather than a blast of sweaty, spitting, noisy and experimental punk, this mostly instrumental affair (15 years in the making) stretches its greasy fingers into horror film textures, claustrophobic atmospheres, and experimental and industrial soundscapes. It's difficult at times, oddly amusing at others, and downright foreboding at others. Listen to "Thee Itch" below and get the record from Joyful Noise.
