The Lemon Twigs

Every year after SXSW, i tend to take a few days to lament all the many awesome things that i missed out on, despite seeing so much.  A lot of times, some of those artists i missed, i didn't even realize i wanted to see until after the fact.  And so we have Long Island's The Lemon Twigs, and their infectious take on psych-tinged British Invasion pop rock.  To be honest, i saw the duo's name all over the place during SXSW but just kind of ignored it.  That was probably the wrong choice.  Anyway, the band's debut "Do Hollywood" is out now on 4AD.  Listen to the wonderful "As Long as We're Together" below.
