Brooklyn's experimental industrial and electro-punk band Model/Actriz dropped a surprise EP a few days ago for our listening pleasure.  Listen to the twitchy "Glassman" below and download the "Swan Songs" EP here from True Panther.  And, if you get a chance to catch the band live, do so.  They are a great live act.

Brooklyn's industrial-tinged post-punk band Model/Actriz get the remix treatment from The Knife's Olof Dreijer with the Swedish producer's rework of this year's track "Cinderella."  It's simultaneously weird and club-ready.  Check it out below and download it here from True Panther.

Looks like we've got new music heading our way in May from Brooklyn industrial-tinged post punk band Model/Actriz.  These guys stole the show a couple of years back at SXSW, putting on an energetic live show worthy of the hype it received around Austin.  Check out new tune "Cinderella" below and pre-order the upcoming "Pirouette" LP here from True Panther.

Brooklyn misfits Model/Actriz dropped a strange and jarring new track yesterday with "Winnipesaukee."  These guys made me into a super fan with their performances during SXSW earlier this year, so some new music is a wonderful way to start the week.  Check it out below and download it here from True Panther.

Frost Children

You ever hear some cool music that you immediately recognize that you're not the target audience for.  I got to experience that in real time on Thursday when i caught New York's Frost Children at SXSW.  It's not that their mix of punk and techno is something that's never been done before, or that their take on gender is brand new (though it is certainly timely), but something about their whole collective vibe screamed youth, of which at 44 years old, i certainly am not.  So, i stood in the back as people 20 years my junior jumped around up front, and nodded my head in approvement.  Anyway, check out "FLATLINE" below and pre-order the upcoming "SPEED RUN" LP here from True Panther.

Been doing a little research to see if i can hit up some SXSW stuff in two weeks, safely of course.  In the event i can hit a couple of shows up, it appears that i may cross paths more than once with Brooklyn post punk band Model/Actriz.  The band's got a real dancey, no-wave vibe going for them, so i would expect the live performance to be fire.  Anyway, they just released new album "Dogsbody" last week.  Get it here from True Panther and listen to "Crossing Guard" below.
