In the span of less than a week, we get two new videos from Radiohead. "Daydreaming" is the second singles(?) from the upcoming, as of yet untitled album that is set to be released digitally this Sunday, May 8th, and physically on June 17th via XL Recordings. Watch the surreal, uneasy, Paul Thomas Anderson directed video below and then wait in anticipation for Sunday evening.

Radiohead - Burn the Witch
Well, after deleting their web presence a couple days ago, Radiohead are back online with the lush and sinister "new" song "Burn the Witch," accompanied by a stop-motion animated take on "The Wickerman" to serve as a video. It's wonderful. Watch below and keep your ear to the ground for a new album.

The Monster Squad
Easily one of my favorite movies when i was growing up, it wasn't until the last few years that i realized what a devoted following Fred Dekker's film has. I saw a packed screening a decade ago with the director and some cast members in attendance, and everyone just went nuts. I'm sure i did too. And so, i'm stoked that the great folks at Mondo are releasing the a 7" featuring Michael Sembello's "Rock Until You Drop" and the end credits "Monster Squad Rap" on the B-side. Are these songs good? Probably not. But the artwork on the single is amazing (4 variants featuring Dracula, Frankenstein's Monster, Wolfman, and Gillman), and the little kid in me would kick me until the day i died if didn't snag at least one of these up. Watch the movie's montage scene that featured "Rock Until Your Drop" below and snag the Dracula or Wolfman records here tomorrow.
Time is almost up. It's your last chance for pie.

Daily Bowie - The Heart's Filthy Lesson
I remember when i was in high school, when "Outside" came out, and Bowie got a lot of criticism that he was just aping Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails. And maybe some of that is valid, but Bowie's version of industrial pop just sounds so quintessentially Bowie, that he's not stealing anything, just putting his own fantastic spin on it. "Outside" was also the first Bowie album i ever bought, so it has and maintains a warm spot in my heart. Speaking of hearts, here's the record's first single, "The Heart's Filthy Lesson," your Daily Bowie.

Slowdive and Brian Jonestown Massacre
So, Levitation was cancelled on Thursday, less than 24 hours before the event was supposed to begin, due to a bad weather prediction that never came to be. We maybe got half an inch or rain in the middle of the night. Needless to say, people were pissed. People were sad. A lot of people were stranded. And i moped around for a while thinking about the long list of amazing artists i wasn't going to get to see. Seriously. Go check that original lineup out and see how incredible this weekend could have been. All moping aside, my amazing sweetheart of a wife was able to procure tickets to one of the makeup shows that the festival was able to put together at various venues around Austin, and i got to see fantastic sets by the Brian Jonestown Massacre and Slowdive (honestly the band i was most excited to see this weekend above all others).
Hopefully next year's lineup will be just as strong...and mother nature and the county will cooperate with us. Here's a couple pics.

Daily Bowie - Subterraneans
I've missed posting Bowie songs the last couple of days, due to being busy and more likely from moping around because Levitation was cancelled...and the bad weather never came. Anyway, here's the haunting and beautiful "Subterraneans," from 1977's "Low," your Daily Bowie.
Fog
Well, with a sliver a good news for this week, we got a new record from the impossible to peg or classify artist Fog, the first in nearly a decade. "For Good" is all over the place in the best possible ways, and promised to be an engaging listen that demands repeat attempts. Watch the video for "Trying" below and get the record from Totally Gross National Product.
