In October, we're getting a new record from Toronto's experimental jazz outfit BADBADNOTGOOD. In and of itself, this is good news, but upon hearing the first release from the album, the epic and sprawling "Signal from the Noise," consider me ecstatic. Think if like the otherworldly instrumentals of Bowie's "Low" were recontextualized into proggy jazz numbers and then let loose upon an unsuspecting populace. Marvelous stuff.
