Ducktails

Good new everybody!  There's a new Ducktails record coming out in July.  Matt Mondanile's Real Estate side project has always garnered more of my attention than his main band.  Ducktails are just a little weirder, a little quirkier, and that just feels right.  Dig on the warped AM pop of "Headbanging in the Mirror" below and get the "St. Catherine" LP from Domino.

Egyptian Sports Network

Egyptian Sports Network is Matt Mondanile of Ducktails and Real Estate fame and Spencer Clark of The Skaters.  The duo's aesthetic could best be described as warped library music from some 80's local network television station or cable access channel blasted through outer space using rudimentary tools.  So yeah, i'm hooked on this trip.  "Leo in Cyan" has the added benefit of Mark McGuire of Emeralds on synthesizer duty.  Listen below and pre-order the "Interstitial Luxor" EP from New Image Records.

New Ducktails
