Daily Jam - Shook Ones Pt. II

The first concert i ever took my oldest son to was record store parking lot performance by Mobb Deep during SXSW in 2014.  Of course he doesn't remember it because he wasn't even one yet, but i hope somewhere deep in his subconscious he still feels it.  Anyway, here's "Shook Ones Pt. RIP Prodigy

The first concert i ever took my oldest son to was an instore performance by Mobb Deep at Waterloo Records.  He was 9 or 10 months old.  So, it is with heavy heart to report that the group's member Prodigy was discovered dead this morning.  No word yet as to cause of death.  RIP Prodigy.

SXSW 2014, Day 5

And so we've reached the end of our saga...and what an end.  Yesterday my 9 month old son saw his first concert at Waterloo Records' SXSW Saturday day party.  Mobb Deep and Temples.  My baby digs on gangsta rap and psych pop.  He's already cooler than i am.

Afterwards, i closed out with some psych garage rock from Ty Segall and a whole lot more, drank a mystery beer, and slowly began to peel the dead, sun burned skin from my face.  I guess this year qualifies as a success.  Here's some pics from Saturday.
