Temples - Certainty

Here's a new song from British psych rock band Temples from their as of yet untitled sophomore album due sometime in the near future.  "Certainty" finds the band adding some bouncy and playful synths into the mix, creating some poppy, bubblegummy goodness.  Listen below.

Temples & Jagwar Ma

Two of the hipper psych rock acts to emerge in the last year are teaming up for a split single release for Record Store Day from Heavenly Recordings.  The UK's Temples will remix Australian act Jagwar Ma's "Man I Need," while Jagwar Ma provide a remix of Temples' "Shelter Song."  You can listen to both below, but you'll only be able to grab the record in the UK (booooo).

SXSW 2014, Day 5

And so we've reached the end of our saga...and what an end.  Yesterday my 9 month old son saw his first concert at Waterloo Records' SXSW Saturday day party.  Mobb Deep and Temples.  My baby digs on gangsta rap and psych pop.  He's already cooler than i am.

Afterwards, i closed out with some psych garage rock from Ty Segall and a whole lot more, drank a mystery beer, and slowly began to peel the dead, sun burned skin from my face.  I guess this year qualifies as a success.  Here's some pics from Saturday.

Temples - Mesmerise

After an excellent 7" release earlier this year, British psych rock outfit Temples are prepping their debut full length LP "Sun Structures" for release in February on Fat Possum.  Listen to first single "Mesmerise" below.

Temples - Colours to Life

There are seemingly an endless number of different revival movements and homages zigging and zagging through the culture right now.  The UK is experiencing a upsurge of 60's inspired psych rock, and i'm really digging on the band Temples right now.  Their "Shelter Song" 7" finally gets an American release next month via Fat Possum.  Check out the video for B-side "Colours to Life" below...and groove.

Temples

Here's some great modern psyche rock from the UK's Temples, in the vein of Dungen or Tame Impala.  Listen to "Shelter Song" below and look for the 7" from Heavenly Records.
