Sun Araw

LA artist Cameron Stallones has been making weird music as Sun Araw for a long time now.  And October brings us a new EP.  Check out the hazy and otherworldly "Proper" below, pre-order the "Rapid Response" EP here from Drag City, and remember kids, as i'm fond of pointing out, Sun Araw is war anus backwards.

Sun Araw covers Neil Young

The ever challenging and mind expanding Sun Araw (that's war anus backwards kids!) have a 12" split release with Ralph White out now on Monofonus Press.  Sun Araw tackles Neil Young's "Thrasher," turning it into a 10 minute swirl of experimental psych weirdness.  Get it here and listen below.

Duppy Gun

Sun Araw's Cameron Stallones and M. Geddes Gengras began making music together last year with Jamaican reggae band The Congos.  The two have continued making music together with a series of one-off singles performed with an array of other Jamaican artists.  They have donned themselves Duppy Gun, and their latest single "What Would You Say About Me?" is a mix of R&B, dancehall music, and Jamaican vibes.  The track features Fiyah Flames on vocals.  Get it from Stones Throw and listen below.
