ANDY BOAY

New York based artist ANDY BOAY (Andy White) is one half of the weird and wonderful experimental band Tonstartssbandht.  Over the summer, he dropped new album "You Took that Walk for the Two of Us," and it's also a weird and wonderful little piece of art pop.  Check out the excellent "One & One" below and get the album here from the artist.

Florida weirdos Tonstartssbandht are releasing their new album of weirdness next month with "Petunia" on Mexican Summer.  The band floats somewhere in the ether between psych and prog and dub and a hundred other things, impossible to peg down.  Check out new tune "What Has Happened," meander around a little bit, and order the record here.

Eola

I've been digging on the new record from Tonstartssbandht the last couple of weeks, having been a fan of their 2011 release "Now I am Become."  When digging into the band's back catalog, i had no idea they that they had so many releases (7 alone in between the 2 albums i have).  I also came across the side project of Edwin Mathis White called Eola, a kind of gospel-infused a capella record that sounds like a cult of Appalachian folk singers found a hidden trove of samplers and tape loops.  Listen to "How Far am I From Canaan?" below and get a copy of last year's "Dang" LP from Leaving Records.

Tonstartssbandht - Sorcerer

You sure gotta love bands and their gibberish names, and none gets more gibberishier than sibling duo Tonstartssbandht.  "Sorcerer" is the band's first release since 2011, and the single of same name is a groovy mix of lo-fi guitar strum and hazy dreampop aesthetics.  Listen below and get the record in March from Mexican Summer.
