Aux Meadows

Oakland trio Aux Meadows dropped a new album of ambient Americana and instrumental cosmic country a couple weeks back with their "Draw Near" LP.  Music for sweeping plains and sounds that float in the air like dust particles viewable through sun beams from the window.  Listen to "Continuous Still" below and snag the record here on Eiderdown Records.

Mark Peters

Mark Peters is a founding member of the UK shoegaze band Engineers who also often collaborates with ambient dreampop artist Ulrich Schnauss.  With "Red Sunset Dreams," Peters goes solo, combining elements of shoegaze, ambient, Americana, and cosmic country to create a dreamy and ethereal soundscape to watch the setting sun to.  Check out the album opening "Switch on the Sky" featuring Dot Allison on vocals below and order the record here from Sonic Cathedral.

Talk West

Talk West is the experimental pedal steel alias of Dylan Golden Aycock.  And i love that experimental pedal steel is a thing.  Tomorrow, the artist will release a split cassette with fellow pedal steel player Gary Peters, with each taking a side for their particular brands of instrumental, ambient cosmic country.  Check out the kind of haunting video for "Cognitive Dissonant Trance II" below and snag "The Different Same" here from Scissor Tail Records.

Bobby Lee & Mia Doi Todd

Here's a new collaborative track from Bobby Lee and Mia Doi Todd from the upcoming compilation album "Home" on the UK's Warm label.  "Walking with Trees" finds the two artists in mellow waters, mixing elements of folk, psychedelia, and a little bit of cosmic country for something that sounds like a cool breeze, sun on your face, nature surrounding.  Cool stuff.  Check the track out below and pre-order the record here.

William Tyler and Luke Schneider
