I was unaware that i needed Icelandic ambient theremin music in my life, but honestly i probably should have known all along.  Enter Icelandic experimental artist and theremin player Hekla and her upcoming eerie new album "Turnar."  Combining the strange sounds of the theremin with a practically oozing dark ambience, reverbed and apocalyptic tones, and an icy, creeping sense of dread, the record sounds like the soundtrack to the scariest movie ever...or maybe just the end times.  Listen to "Var" below and pre-order the LP here from Phantom Limb.
