There was a time when i was a superfan of Panda Bear, along with Animal Collective, the artists' indie vibe almost defining a certain era of my life.  I stepped off that train awhile ago, but still check in from time to time.  And on Noah Lennox's next Panda Bear album, the upcoming "Sinister Grift," the artist pairs himself with this year's album of the year contender Cindy Lee on closing track "Defense."  Check it out below and pre-order the record here from Domino.

Panda Bear seems to have been making the rounds lately, and that's probably because he has a new album on the horizon, this time around as a collaborative effort with Spacemen 3's Sonic Boom.  Quirky psych pop sounds abound.  Check out the video for "Edge of the Edge" below and pre-order the upcoming "Reset" LP here via Domino.

Braxe + Falcon + Panda Bear

Daily Jam - Comfy in Nautica

Kicking into higher gear on this new phase of lockdown/quarantine/whatever you want to call it, as my oldest son's remote learning version of second grade really begins to move.  We haven't quite gotten into a rhythm yet, and while it's certainly beneficial that both my wife and i are able to work from home (most of the time), the two of us are increasingly and often chaotically busy.  So the whole thing is just really hard.  It's hard for everyone.  My younger son really wants to go back to pre-school too.  But today, i'm going to try and keep the depression and anger back for a little while, and i'm going to listen to the hypnotic sounds of Panda Bear's "Comfy in Nautica," our Daily Jam.

Animal Collective are set to release their new album "Painting With" in February on Domino, featuring three different album covers.  That's one of them above.  Take a listen to first taste "FloriDada" below.  It sounds like Animal Collective.

Panda Bear's upcoming "Panda Bear Vs The Grim Reaper" LP is one of my very anticipated releases for 2015, and here we have the second single, "Boys Latin," and the accompanying trippy, animated video.  I am a sucker for trippy, animated videos.  Watch below and grab the album next month on Domino.

Panda Bear mixtape

With a new album on the horizon, "Panda Bear vs. The Grim Reaper," Animal Collective's Noah Lennox, aka Panda Bear, has assembled an interesting little mixtape to start drumming up some press.  I'm a huge fan of his previous solo efforts, so i am pretty excited at the prospect of a new record.  You can listen to the mixtape at PBVSGR or below.  I have no idea what these songs are.  Enjoy.
