The New Mutants

Evidently, Josh Boone is making a horror movie...but with X-Men in it.  Check out the trailer for next year's "The New Mutants."  I am so down with this.

Death of Lovers

If you've ever wondered what it would sound like if the guys from Nothing recorded a moody synth pop album, wonder no more.  Death of Lovers' full-length album "The Acrobat" is due next month on Dais Records, and answers all your questions.  Hint: it sounds pretty good.  Listen to "The Absolute" below.

October Horror Trailer - Dead & Buried

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross cover Halloween

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross covered John Carpenter's theme from "Halloween."  So, happy early Halloween everybody.  It's pretty cool.  Listen below.

Exploded View

I was not expecting new music from Exploded View next month, but i'll gladly take it.  The Anika fronted post punk group makes cold and eerie music to put the soul ill at ease.  Listen to "Summer Came Early" below and get the EP of the same name from Sacred Bones.

ALEX

Though it came out back in February, the folks over at NewRetroWave are putting out synth pop maestro ALEX's "Youth" EP on vinyl.  You can pre-order now, with the record coming out sometime early next year.  Listen to the Rachel McAlpine assisted "Rebel of the Night" below.

October Horror Trailer - Train to Busan

Prurient

I've been a fan of Dominick Fernow's often challenging Prurient project for a few years now, and news about the artist's upcoming new album may make it even more than i can handle.  Due in December via Profound Lore and Hospital Productions, new album "Rainbow Mirror" is said to be over 3 hours, spread out over 7 LP's or 4 CD's.  It will be noisy.  It will be droney.  It may sound like the end of the world.  Anyway, listen to the first taste from the record below, the 14-minute "Naturecum."

John Maus - Teenage Witch

Here's another new track from the upcoming, triumphant return of John Maus and his new record "Screen Memories."  Watch the video for "Teenage Witch" below, featuring footage of a young Mr. Maus and get the record later this month on Ribbon Music.

Deep Cross

Here's a dark and moody little slice of experimental, industrial drone from Deep Cross.  Good to set the mood this Halloween season before the powers that be kill us all.  Listen to album closer "Ophite" below and get the self-titled cassette from Somatic next month.
