Growing up in Texas, i was always prone to be hyper supportive and protective of our homegrown artists, particularly in hip-hop. I think that with New York and LA long being the two mega hubs of the hip-hop world, that our stuff just felt special. And for a lot us, Houston's The Geto Boys encapsulated that. It was reported last night that Geto Boys member Bushwick Bill passed away from pancreatic cancer at the age of 52. Honestly, there was no one else on the scene quite like him. He will be missed. RIP Bushwick Bill.
