San Francisco (formerly of Austin) artist Al Lover has crafted a kind of love letter to his old abode, an experimental collage of psychedelic tape loops, groove, and hiss. "Death in Texas" plays like a drunken, deep-fried acid trip, oppressive heat and a landscape that goes on forever and ever.
