Wolf Like Me

We went and saw "The Wolfman" today. Yes, i know...very romantical of me. Anyhoo, it was ok. The pacing at the beginning was a little weird, but the mood really kept in touch with the original Universal Wolfman movie. And the gore was pretty good too, beheadings and disembowelment and all that good stuff.

And Hugo Weaving is always cool.

Keeping in the spirit of Lycanthropy, here's the video for TV On The Radio's "Wolf Like Me," the best pro-werewolf song i can think of.

The House of The Devil

Happy Valentine's Day. On that note, go rent "The House of The Devil" right now. The film is a complete homage to late 1970's/ early 1980's horror flicks. From the cinematography to the film score to the title sequence at the beginning, the movie should have been made 30 years ago. And it's awesome and creepy.

So, let's all celebrate this Hallmark Holiday with good, old-fashioned satanists-terrorizing-the-babysitter movie. Yay!

MF Doom and Thom Yorke

Metal Fingers Doom, or MF Doom, or just plain old Doom has release a remix EP of his bitchin track "Gazillion Ear." The original was on last year's excellent album, "Born Like This."

The EP includes remixes from Dr. Whodat? (love that name), Dave Sitek of TV On The Radio, and Thom Yorke of all people.


The Thom Yorke remix is pretty fucking good, and you can get the mp3 here. Go get it quick.

Charlotte Gainsbourg with Beck

Here's the video for "Heaven Can Wait" from Charlotte's new record, "IRM." Beck wrote and produced. It's pretty evident. And it's good too.

Found "Mirage" by Klaus Schulze on vinyl today. He, of Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream fame. As you can imagine, it's very, very German.

I totally want the album cover on a t-shirt though.

Oh, and i mentioned the Pantha Du Prince record, "Black Noise" the other day. It's very good. I highly recommend it.
