Perennial
I've been fortunate enough to catch New England garage rock band Perennial a few times over the years at SXSW. They're one of those bands that ends up playing 20 shows over a 5-day period while they're in town. I can't even imagine. Anyway, they've got a new album heading our way in September with "Modernism," and judging by lead-off single "What's New on the Beat Scene," it's gonna be a rocker. Check the track out below and pre-order the LP here from Ernest Jenning Record Co.

Daily Jam - Nothing Came Out
I don't know what, but something made me think of The Moldy Peaches the other day, the early '00s lo-fi indie duo of Adam Green and Kimya Dawson. Talk about a sonic snapshot of a particular moment in time. Anyhoo, thinking of them made me listen to them. Listen to the unrequited love song "Nothing Came Out" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - Welcome to the Machine
Like a lot of dudes before me, i went through a pretty heavy Pink Floyd phase when i was in college. My enthusiasm for the band has waned over the years, but every now and then i go back and listen and remember why i got so wrapped up in them in the first place. Here's a track from "Wish You Were Here," maybe the strongest and most consistent release from the band. Listen to "Welcome to the Machine" below, our Daily Jam.

Daily Jam - 당신이 그리울 때
I'm totally fascinated with this South Korean pop album from 1979 by Yoona. I can't find much information on it, and it does not appear to have ever been for sale on any of my usual channels. Anyway, i've only heard one song, the melancholy and sultry "당신이 그리울 때" which translates to "When i Miss You," and that intro absolutely slaps. Check it out below, our Daily Jam.

Here's some new music from Minneapolis shoegaze band She's Green. Listen to "Close Your Eyes" below and download the dreamy new "Swallowtail" EP here.
Daily Jam - Mossen
Periodically i will come across some random and obscure record that instantly becomes my new quest. As a pretty rabid record collector, this happens to me far more often than i'd like to admit, but it is what it is. In the past i've hunted down rare '60s psych folk LP's, private press Americana from the '70s, and so on and so on. Now i'm in search of a proto-dark ambient electronic LP from Swedish space rock and electronic trio Anna Sjalv Tredje. Their solo release, 1977's "Tussilago Fanfara" is my latest "holy grail." So good luck to me on finding it for a reasonable price (the record collector market has gotten kinda crazy over the last decade). For now though, let's listen to the album opening "Mossen," our Daily Jam.
