Winter & Peel Dream Magazine

New York based dreampop/shoegaze/indie pop artist Winter has a new EP coming out later this month with the forthcoming "Romantix Mixtape."  She gets a helping hand a few tracks from a bevy of different artists, including fellow dream-weavers Peel Dream Magazine.  Check out "Hide-a-Lullaby" below and snag a copy of the cassette here from Winspear.

Purity Ring

Canadian duo Purity Ring have been doing the indie electronic pop thing for a while now, and they just dropped new track "Bitter Rhymes" last week.  It's a moody affair.  Check it out below and download it from the band here.

Scottish indie pop group Belle & Sebastian are very decidedly not drug music.  However, i have a distinct, yet chemically hazy, memory in college of listening to the band's "Sleep the Clock Around" from their 1998 album "The Boy with the Arab Strap," and finding it utterly transcendent for the state that i was in.  (That last part was a pun for all you B&S Heads out there.)  Listen to it below, our Daily Jam.

The Laughing Chimes
