Casket Cassette

I've been digging on the mix of darkwave and dreampop from LA artist Casket Cassette since first hearing him back in March (when i missed his performance during SXSW).  Every single has been a total synth pop banger, and now he's dropped a new full-length album with "REDUCER."  Check out the haunted and dreamy "Apathy" below and pay what you want for the download here from the artist.

Secret Attraction

Phoenix duo Secret Attraction make that dreamy kind of new wave/post-punk/synth pop you'd expect to hear from clubs and car stereos in some Hollywood version of the '80s, goth-tinged vibes and airy, melancholic melodies.  It's all quite lovely.  Snag the band's new "Oceans" EP here and listen to the hazy title track below.

Allison Lorenzen

Here's a beautiful and sprawling new ambient track from Denver based dreampop and slowcore artist Allison Lorenzen.  "Deploy the Stars Upon thy Chest" plays like night slowly falling over a bustling cityscape, the denizens of the the daylight retreating to their abodes while the tiny creatures of the night begin to come to life.  Listen below and download it here.

Somehow i missed that New Orleans artist MJ Guider dropped a couple of new songs back in March.  Good ones too.  Anyway, it looks like the vinyl is all gone, but you can still download the "Another Weird Dream" single here from the artist.  It's got kind of a sludgy Bowery Electric thing going on.  Check out the A-side track "Another" below.

The Haunted Youth
