Fine

Danish artist and singer/songwriter Fine returns in October with the follow up to her excellent 2024 debut "Rocky Top Ballads."  Sophomore effort "Jazz Dreams" has a timeless, classic pop feel to it, elements of rock, soul, R&B, folk, and more coming together just right.  Listen to "Everything in the Shade" below and pre-order the LP here from Escho.

Azure Rose

Winter & Peel Dream Magazine

New York based dreampop/shoegaze/indie pop artist Winter has a new EP coming out later this month with the forthcoming "Romantix Mixtape."  She gets a helping hand a few tracks from a bevy of different artists, including fellow dream-weavers Peel Dream Magazine.  Check out "Hide-a-Lullaby" below and snag a copy of the cassette here from Winspear.

Ancient Channels

Here's some excellent new music from Brisbane band Ancient Channels.  The quintet make a mix of death rock, darkwave synth pop, post punk, shoegaze, dreampop, and more, essentially a dream blunt rotation of musical subgenres.  Check out the dark, gloomy, and reverb-drenched "Hex Beat" below and grab the band's "Static Spirit" LP here from False Peak Records.

Interpol

Interpol's 2002 debut album is an all timer for me, one of my favorite records ever, but they've never quite grabbed my attention with any subsequent release.  And i'm not saying that "This Mirror Weighs a Ton," the band's new LP, is anywhere near and dear to my heart as "Turn on the Bright Lights," it does at least have me paying attention again.  There's plenty of the band's early '00s post punk sound on the album, but they also branch out a little bit with moments of dreamy, albeit downcast, indie pop, like on "Iron City."  I'm going to have to give this one a few more listens.  As John Wick says, "Yeah, i'm thinking i'm back."  Listen below and get the LP here from Partisan Records.

Feeling Small

I caught Austin indie artist Feeling Small a couple years ago at a small SXSW show, and he just dropped a melancholy new piano ballad for our listening pleasure.  "Bruise" is a soft lament, the kind of introspective piece to listen to at sunset.  Check it out below and download it here from the artist.

Here's a beautiful new ambient-inspired track from Denver based artist Allison Lorenzen.  "Healing Vibrations II" serves as an excellent accompaniment to the artist's "Deploy the Stars Upon thy Chest" from earlier this summer.  Gorgeous, soothing, and melancholic, it's music that speaks to the soul.  Check it out below and download it here.
