Earlier this week, indie band DIIV dropped fantastic new track "Return of Youth."  I remember seeing these guys over a decade ago when they looked like kids and were still calling themselves just regular old Dive.  It's wild which artists are still making music together all these years later.  Listen to the new tune below and download it here from Fantasy Records.

Brooklyn's DIIV is back this May with a new album of indie melodies for the masses.  New tune "Brown Paper Bag" finds the group in '90s post-grunge mode, acid-fried guitar tones and subdued vocals sounding like one big comedown.  Check it out below and pre-order the "Frog in Boiling Water" LP here from Fantasy Records.

I haven't thought about indie darling band DIIV in a long time, though i do remember seeing them perform at SXSW many years ago (so long ago that they may have even still been going by Dive) and feeling like an old fart because they looked like kids.  Anyway, October brings us their latest LP, "Deceiver," and all of the shoegaze and alt-rock tinged pop that entails.  Check out the excellent "Skin Game" below and pre-order the album here from Captured Tracks.

Launder

Launder is the dreamy, wistful, low-key project from LA artist John Cudlip.  Debut EP "Pink Cloud" is due in March, and it features production from Day Wave's Jackson Phillips, guitar work from DIIV's Zachary Cole Smith, and vocals from French artist Soko.  That's quite a lineup.  Listen to "Fade" below and pre-order the album here.
