Nirosta Steel is the songwriting moniker of Steven Hall, who collaborated with cellist and composer Arthur Russell in the underground, and often queer, New York scene of the '80s. "My Skyscraper" marks his first official long player, featuring works and re-works of material spanning over 40 years, a collection of "queer love songs, nightlife hallucinations, and post-rave comedowns." It's a very cool mix of dubby electronica, down-tempo disco, lo-fi experiments, bedroom pop, and general weirdness. It rules.
