Daily Jam - Pulling Teeth
I listened to Green Day's breakthrough album "Dookie" for the first time in a long, long, long time the other day. And it pretty much holds up. Good job dudes. Here's "Pulling Teeth," our Daily Jam.

We were big fans of the Indoor Voices track "Flakey" last year, and now it, along with a slew of other tunes, have dropped together on the Toronto artist's new album "Terrors." It's a shoegazey dream. Dig on the album opening "Belong" below and download the whole thing here.

Teenage Fanclub
There is some alternate universe somewhere where Teenage Fanclub's 1991 album "Bandwagonesque" is the cultural fulcrum point for pop music that Nirvana's "Nevermind" ended up being in our own. No complaints on Nirvana, but it's probably pretty cool in that Teenage Fanclub universe. Anyway, the Scottish band have a new album heading our way in October with "Do Not Dare to Dream." Check out the catchy and jangly "Day in the Sun" below and pre-order the LP here from Merge.

Daily Jam - That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore
Remember kids, you don't have to feel too bad about liking or listening to The Smiths, because even though Morrissey is a total twat, Johnny Marr is cool as hell. Listen to "That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore" below, our Daily Jam.

Bondo
LA band Bondo have a very cool, old school post rock thing going for them, with flashes of slowcore alt-rock and plenty of fuzz. 19-year old Tommy is having a field day with this one. Check out the moody jam "Running Back" below and snag a copy of the band's self-titled LP here from Solid Brass Records.
Daily Jam - Northern Lad
I am tired. Tired tired tired. Here's some mellow, yet dramatic music from Tori Amos. Listen to "Northern Lad" below, our Daily Jam.

Gurriers
I was fortunate enough to catch Dublin noise rock band Gurriers a couple years back during SXSW. They were energetic as hell and pretty much sonically pummeled the entire crowd at Mohawk. And now they've got new music heading our way next month with the forthcoming "Nobody's Coming to Save You." Check out the excellent new tune "Party Lines" below and pre-order the download here from Play It Again Sam or the LP here from a variety of different sources.
Goblin Cock
Every now and then, Pinback's Rob Crow transforms into alter-ego Lord Phallus and drops a new stoner alt-rock album with the delightfully named Goblin Cock. Pre-order the project's upcoming "Traumanaut" LP here from Joyful Noise Recordings and listen to "Remains" below.

New Age Healers
Seattle band New Age Healers have a kind of classic alternative rock vibe going for them, bits and pieces of space rock, shoegaze, neo-psychedelia, and grunge coming together in a hazy sonic stew. Check out "Ultra" below and grab the band's new "Blowing Smoke Through the Choir" LP here.
Daily Jam - Anodyne
Listening to CCR's "Effigy" yesterday reminded me that alt-country originators Uncle Tupelo covered back in '93 for the "No Alternative" compilation. They do a very faithful version too, while still sounding entirely like themselves. Anyhoo, here's the title track from the band's '93 album "Anodyne" for what is a blisteringly hot day here in Central Texas. Check it out below, our Daily Jam.
