Porcelain

American Motors

Here's some moody and noisy new music from Pennsylvania band American Motors.  "No Horses" is a mix of grungey alt-rock, post punk, noise rock, along with some hints of post hardcore.  It's nice.  Check the track out below and pre-order the band's upcoming "Functional Music" LP here from Expert Work Records.

Kulk

UK band Kulk make a loud and noisy blend of alt-rock, stoner metal, and doom, eardrum-rattling stuff to shake the cobwebs off.  New album "Choosing to Die" is out now, and you can grab it here from Church Road Records.  In the meantime, listen to "An Endless Knife" below.

Gurriers

I was fortunate enough to catch Dublin noise rock band Gurriers a couple years back during SXSW.  They were energetic as hell and pretty much sonically pummeled the entire crowd at Mohawk.  And now they've got new music heading our way next month with the forthcoming "Nobody's Coming to Save You."  Check out the excellent new tune "Party Lines" below and pre-order the download here from Play It Again Sam or the LP here from a variety of different sources.

Here's some droney, experimental, psych-tinged noise and post rock from Canadian duo Some Became Hollow Tubes (guitarist Eric Quach of Hypnodrone Ensemble and drummer Aidan Girt of Godspeed You! Anatomy of Habit

Cor de Lux

Before i make myself a cocktail and check out for the night, here's some cool new post punk from North Carolina band Cor de Lux.  The group's new album "Year of the Horse" is out in September on Ipecac.  Pre-order the LP here and listen to the noisy, and kinda trippy, "The Cringe" below.

Amy Rose Mills

New York artist Amy Rose Mills spends most of her time playing guitar for the blistering noise metal band Couch Slut.  But she also makes solo music.  Check out the lo-fi and avant garde folk rock of "A Little Treat" below and pre-order the upcoming "I Think We've Met Before" here.

Sugar Horse

Here's some new music from the often uncategorizable Bristol band Sugar Horse.  The band's wild and cacophonous mix of black metal, alt-rock, noise, and prog rock can make the head spin in the best ways.  New album "Not a Sound in Heaven" is out now.  Get it here from Fat Dracula Records and listen to the doom-laden album closer "You Can't Say Dallas Doesn't Love You" below.

Rauncher

Truck Violence

Montreal band Truck Violence have a new album heading our way this summer with the upcoming "The Weathervane Is My Body."  Check out the raucous mix of metal and noise rock that is "New Jesus" below and pre-order the LP here from The Flenser.

HEALTH Remixed by Zetra

Pretty much since the very start of their music careers, the guys from LA electro-noise band HEALTH have been keen on collaborations, either by releasing music with a slew of other artists or offering up their work for remix and reinterpretation.  The new "R-TYPE III" EP finds them doing the latter.  Check out Zetra's excellent and gothy "Unloved (Zetra Rmx)" below and download the whole thing here from Loma Vista.

Paling

Meejah & HIRAKI

Meejah is a Danish experimental post rock band.  HIRAKI is a Danish experimental noise rock and synth punk band.  The two just recently collaborated on the new "Interwoven" EP combining elements of their preferred genres into a weird and wild sonic stew.  Check out "Preserve/Manifest" below and get the 12" here from Pelagic Records.

Model/Actriz

Brooklyn's experimental industrial and electro-punk band Model/Actriz dropped a surprise EP a few days ago for our listening pleasure.  Listen to the twitchy "Glassman" below and download the "Swan Songs" EP here from True Panther.  And, if you get a chance to catch the band live, do so.  They are a great live act.

Pons

One of the bands i was fortunate enough to see earlier this wee was Brooklyn duo Pons, who i have to say brought a shitload of energy to a 1PM set.  The band make a mix of no wave punk and noise rock and last September's frenetic "Heavens to Peter" cassette is definitely worth a listen.  Check out "Boy's Surface" below and snag the tape here from the band.

Hot Garbage

Johnny Falloon
