Bullseye

New York band Bullseye make an excellent mix of lo-fi alt-rock and power pop.  It's wonderful.  They're upcoming, self-titled EP sounds like a record you've always listened to, like something you fell in love with at 14 that's been in your ear space ever since.  Check out "Dangers of the Heart" below and pre-order the record here from Ever/Never.

Ned Collette

I have not thought about singer/songwriter Ned Collette in a long, long time.  I remember listening to the Australian's brand of indie folk a couple decades ago, and the now Berlin-based artist has a new album of soft strummed songs coming our way next month.  New tune "Our Other History" has a kind of Tim Buckley meandering to it that i dig.  Check it out below and pre-order the upcoming album of same name here from Ever/Never Records.

Rider/Horse

New York band Rider/Horse make the kind of warped and twisted punk rock that half feels like old sound reverberations rattling around in the inner recesses of your ears, remnants from last night's concert spent way too close to the speakers.  New album "Matted" is out on Friday.  Get it here from Ever/Never Records and listen to the album opening "Combing the Horse" below.

Obnox

It's that time of year again when i stumble across all the great stuff i somehow missed out on the first time around this year.  And i can think of nothing that embodies that than the "Savage Raygun" album from Obnox, the experimental project of Lamont Thomas.  There is so much crammed into the record, it's hard to know what to even describe it as.  There's soul and hip-hop and post punk and synths and jazz and no wave punk rock and everything else just smooshed all together in an epic 20-track eargasm.  Why did i miss this?  I guess it doesn't matter because i'm remedying it now, as should you.  Listen to "Supernatural" below and get the album here from Ever/Never Records.
