As a member of Icelandic post rock band múm, Gyda Valtysdóttir has always made ethereal, dramatic, and ghostly music, and she continues to do so on her solo album, "Epicycle." Originally released as a limited CD in her home nation, the album is now getting a wide release courtesy of Figureight. It consists of the artist's usual flair for haunting, beautiful, and unusual, and dives into reinterpretations of ancient tomes and classical pieces of music. Listen to "Seikilos Epitaph" below and get the album in October.
